Graduate Vet position 

Torrens Road Veterinary Clinic is looking for a full-time Small Animal Veterinarian to join our dedicated team of 5 veterinarians and 10 nurses. To start as soon as practicable.

We are an independently owned clinic and keen to mentor new or recent graduates.

We have a core focus on improving the wellbeing and care of pets, their owners and also our staff. We pride ourselves on low staff turnover and encourage long term patient/client continuity and bonding.

Our position offers a structured new graduate induction program focused on being highly supportive and mentoring in all areas of practice including surgical, medical and imaging.
A broad range of cases are seen in our clinic allowing you to develop and expand your skillset and succeed in proving top tier veterinary care in fields such as soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, exotics, internal medicine, diabetic management, ophthalmology, clinical pathology, dermatology, behaviour, anaesthesia and imaging.

We offer a great work-life balance with no on-call duties after hours or Sunday consultations. Rostering can be flexible to your needs.

We encourage and finance CPD and support the development of special skills and interests.

• Cardell anaesthetic monitor including capnography, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, ECG, core body temperature, respiratory rate and Infusion pumps for IV and CR infusion
• Orthopaedic, intraocular pressure(tonopen) and rhinoscopy equipment
• Dentistry vet base and DR X-ray unit
• Digital Radiography with dedicated lead lined room and exterior exposure trigger along with GE Logiq E ultrasound machine
• Extensive in-house laboratory powered by IDEXX
• Extensive library of reference books and VIN membership
• RxWorks practice management software

Position to commence as soon as possible, small on-site self-contained, modern flat, rent-free, available if required. 

A part time position could also be negotiated for the right candidate.

Veterinary Nurse Position

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and caring Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full time basis. A minimum 2 years experience in the veterinary industry and having attained or currently studying a Certificate IV of Veterinary Nursing or higher is required (including Vet Students and Vet Techs where part-time may be an option).

We have a clinic culture focused on excellent customer service and care of client’s pets, quality surgical / medical care and attention to positive behaviour experiences of pets while under our care.

We focus more on team performance and building skills and confidence at a clinic level, as such we do not set individual performance goals or reviews. Safety and well-being of our staff is a priority above all else.

Our clinic has no scheduled after hours, Sunday or public holiday work to allow for good work-life balance with a flexible staff roster.
An alternating roster of Saturday morning work is required.
